Marialuisa Diaz de Leon, MA, RSME/T, REAT.

Founder of Mythic Life, registered somatic movement educator, registered expressive arts therapist, mythologist & performer born in Guadalajara, Mexico. Marialuisa is the creator of Mythic Life: Embodying Wisdom, Beauty and Courage; where she brings her expertise to individual consultation and group facilitation in-person and online to people all over the globe in Spanish and English (mythiclife.net). Marialuisa’s vision is for all human beings to embrace the unfolding mystery of life, to grow in their attunement to the cyclic nature of their body, to listen to their calling and engage in aligning with their life’s purpose; in other words: to live meaningful lives.

Marialuisa’s movement-based expressive arts training at Tamalpa Institute as well as her graduate program at Pacifica Graduate Institute, gave her the main nutrients to develop her practice. Through her innovative integration of myth, arts, somatic movement and archetypal psychology, Marialuisa guides individuals and groups in exploratory inquiries and invites creative expression, presence, reflection, and continued learning. Individual sessions, classes, and workshops are offered throughout the year.  

Marialuisa is a registered Expressive Arts Therapist through IEATA and a registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist through ISMETA. Marialuisa holds the office of President for the ISMETA Board of Directors. Marialuisa is core faculty at the Tamalpa Institute and adjunct faculty at SouthWestern College in Santa Fe, NM.  Her professional experience spans well over twenty years and includes work in education, private practice, and community intervention.
